Welcome to my space and thank you for stopping by!
This blog started the year I turned 30. It was a place for me to talk about my physical healthy and relationship with food as I worked to lose weight. I’m grateful to say I succeeded! As of September of 2013, I have lost 60 lbs, have learned a lot about my body and my self, and am definitely happier and healthier. I’m not perfect but I’m in a much better place than where I started!
As time has gone on, I’ve decided to broaden the scope of this blog. Physical health is wonderful but it is only one aspect to living a fulfilling and joyful life. I hope to offer my unique perspective and experiences: what it was like be adopted, to grow up on a farm, struggle with food and alcohol issues in my 20’s, move to New York City with only a dream, work with celebrities and see the inside of the film industry, and then walk away from that career to purse something bigger: balance and peace.
I continue to be passionate about all aspects of health and wellness and building a fulfilling life in a time in history when people struggle to find genuine connection and meaning in the lives. My solutions usually involve doing things “the old fashioned way”.
